Hooked Photo Contest

We are so excited to be hosting the Hooked Photo contest happening Family Day weekend February 19, 20 and 21!

With big thanks to our prize sponsors – Big Game Source for Sports, Peavey Mart​ Stettler, Canadian Tire ​Stettler and Romar-ProNature – we have put together 4 amazing prize packages!  To enter, all you need to do is submit a photo of a fish you catch at Buffalo Lake this free family day fishing weekend.  Photos can be submitted to​ by visiting destinationstettler.com or by emailing to info@stettlerboardoftrade.com.

We are working diligently on ​introducing a new Ice Fishing Derby for 2023 and would like to extend our thanks to everyone who has supported the idea and helped out so far! We will share more updates as plans come to fruition!

We are very lucky to have beautiful Buffalo Lake right in our backyard and are grateful that residents and tourists alike get to enjoy the lake year-round. Being such a popular destination, it is of the upmost importance that we ensure the safety of people who utilize the lake.  That is why five community-minded citizens ​will brave the icy waters on Monday, February 21 at 2:00p.m. for Freezen’ for a Reason! Each Polar Plunger is raising funds for the Stettler Volunteer Firefighters Association ​with proceeds going towards the purchase of two Water Rescue Crafts with rescue boards.  Donations are gratefully being accepted by:

You can cheer on the Polar Plungers by heading over to Rochon Sands Bay on Monday, February 21 at 2:00p.m.  The Stettler Regional Fire Department will be onsite to keep a watchful eye on the Polar Plungers as well to ​perform demonstrations.
